How did we manage payments at a busy Red Bull Flugtag event?
At a one-day event with high visitor traffic, we brought payments, barcode sales, stock movements, digital receipts, user changes and on-site connectivity together through Pluspay Event+.
The event date and scale were verified using Red Bull’s official event page and news sources dated 21–24 August 2026.
Payment operations at a busy event involve more than setting up POS devices
Red Bull Flugtag took place on at Caddebostan Coast. With 30 teams selected from around 8,000 applications, the large-scale event attracted high visitor traffic in Istanbul.
At this scale, rapid setup of sales points, cashier changes, stock visibility and payment devices that keep working under heavy mobile traffic become essential. Pluspay Event+ was designed to manage these needs together.

30 teams. One day. Busy sales points. High transaction volume
Payment infrastructure had to do more than simply work. As demand rose, it needed to stay fast, trackable and easy for the field team to manage.
On-site metrics
The scale of devices, sales points, team members, products and transactions supported by Event+ throughout the event.
Essential operational needs on site
At a busy one-day event, the payment experience depends on more than transaction speed. Sales, inventory, connectivity and user management all need to run smoothly at the same time.
Fast payment collection
A fast, stable payment flow was needed to help limit queues during peak hours.
Barcode-based sales
Barcode sales were needed to speed up product selection and reduce incorrect product entries.
Real-time stock tracking
Stock levels at sales points needed to be visible, with quick transfers available when required.
Digital receipts
A faster, paperless flow was chosen to reduce the handling of printed receipts at high transaction volumes.
Reliable internet access
Keeping payment devices connected under heavy mobile traffic in a crowded area was essential.
Fast cashier management
New users needed to be added quickly at sales points during shift and role changes.

The right hardware, one operational platform
Event+ met the different needs of each sales point within a shared operational structure. POS+ Elite supported barcode sales, while CepPOS provided a flexible option for other payment scenarios.
One-off rental
POS devices and related hardware were planned through a rental model based on the event duration and number of sales points, reducing the need for permanent device investment.
Barcode sales with POS+ Elite
An integrated barcode reader brought product selection and payment together on a single device, making busy sales points easier to operate.
Flexible payments with CepPOS
Compatible smart devices offered a flexible contactless payment alternative where a physical POS terminal was not required.
Inventory tracking and transfer module
Product movements were tracked at each sales point. Operations were managed through one system so stock could be transferred quickly between points when needed.
Digital receipt flow
Digital receipts reduced printing time and consumables, helping payments flow more smoothly during busy periods.
High-performance SIM / 4.5G / 5G connectivity
In a busy outdoor setting, devices were supported by high-performance SIM connectivity and 4.5G / 5G access, depending on local coverage.
Fast user and cashier management
Event+ was configured to support quick cashier changes, user setup and onboarding of field teams.
One flow, from preparation to the final transaction
This case study shows not just which products were used, but how they connected the operation on site.
Setup & configuration
Sales points, products, prices, devices and users were prepared for the operational requirements before the event.
Device distribution
POS+ Elite and CepPOS were deployed at different sales points according to their needs.
Live operations
Payments, inventory, digital receipts and user activity were managed through one operational approach throughout the event.

More than a payment device: an event sales operation you can manage
At a busy, temporary event such as Red Bull Flugtag, Event+ brought payments, inventory, users and connectivity together as parts of one operational plan.
The key value of this case study is that Pluspay provides more than devices. It delivers payment infrastructure that can scale to the duration of an event and be set up and managed on site.
